Chicago's community game studio and social club — IRL and online.
We make games together — not professionally, just for fun. For the community, by the community. The game is the vehicle. The people, the learning, the experience, the fun — that's the point. A buggy, half-finished game that ten people learned from and had a blast making? That's a success.
Coming soon. We're building our first game this year. Get on the list.
We meet once a week at a Chicago gaming venue. Over 8 weeks, we go from a one-sentence game idea to a published game on itch.io — together. No experience required. Between meetups, we collaborate on Discord.
Meet the group, vote on a game concept, form teams, scope the project, and get everyone set up to build.
Three build nights, a members-only playtest & polish night, and a launch party where you bring your friends. Grab tasks, pair up, make a game. We publish it together at the end.
If you've ever wanted to make a game — or just be around people who are making one — this is your place. You don't need a portfolio or experience. You just need curiosity.
Coders, pixel artists, writers, sound designers, musicians, project managers — or none of the above. Every game needs a dozen different kinds of thinking. Yours is one of them. All skill levels welcome.
We operate inside a partner gaming venue. You get in using the venue's existing access — day pass or monthly membership — at their normal rates. No separate club fee. Plus full access to the venue's gaming machines and arcade setups.
Once you have venue access, sign up for the first game — pick a team you're interested in, and you're on the team.
